Full lessons require an active trial or subscription. Both plans offer the same features and usage limits.
There is no free tier. The only free part is the optional onboarding sample: one bundled photo, one word and one question, shown before you subscribe. It needs no account, camera access or subscription.

- Both plans include a 3-day free trial when you are eligible. Apple confirms eligibility.
- The app shows the price, billing period and trial before you buy. Your local currency may differ from the US prices above.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel in your Apple subscription settings.
- Personal-photo lessons have a usage limit of up to 10 lessons in any 24-hour window.
- Restore purchases is available in the app.
- If access ends, the app stays locked until you renew. Your cloud collection is kept for 90 days after access ends, so renewing in that time brings it back.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a placement test?
No. You choose Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced to match how your English feels today. The level is a self-selected label, not a test result, and you can change it in Account. Lessons you already have keep their original level.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Full lessons require Sign in with Apple. Signing in with the same Apple account lets you recover your synchronized lessons after you reinstall the app or change iPhone.
What happens to my photos?
Your photo is sent to OpenAI to create the lesson. Zenlingo stores a reduced copy of the photo with your collection, and does not keep original-resolution photos. Your originals stay in your photo library. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does Zenlingo record or score my voice?
No. Zenlingo does not record your voice, use speech recognition or score your pronunciation. Audio only plays the English word or expression.
Are the lessons always correct?
No. AI can make mistakes, including incorrect information or answers. Check anything important with a teacher or a dictionary.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel in your Apple subscription settings on your iPhone. Cancelling stops renewal but does not end access before the current period finishes. Deleting your account in the app does not cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel it separately.
